13 Million Indonesians Have Completed Their COVID-19 Vaccinations

JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - More than 13 million Indonesians have received two COVID-19 vaccine injections, or have completed their vaccinations, according to data from the Indonesian COVID-19 Task Force in Jakarta on Saturday (06/26/2021).

Data from the COVID-19 Task Force showed that on Saturday the number of people who had completed their vaccinations rose by 105,901 to a total of 13,018,524 people.

Meanwhile, the number of citizens who had received the first dose of vaccine as of Saturday reach 26,032,131, or an increase of 550,095 people from the previous day.

The Indonesian government is targeting 40,349,049 people to get vaccinated, including workers in the health sector, public services sector, and elderly citizens in the implementation of the COVID-19 vaccination program phases I and II.

The government plans to vaccinate 181.5 million people, or around 70 percent of the Indonesian population in stages in order to realize communal immunity against COVID-19.

The vaccination program is still ongoing, and its target has been extended to people aged 18 years and over in a number of areas.

The cumulative number of residents who have contracted COVID-19 in Indonesia since the first corona virus infection case was detected in March 2020 until now has reached a total of 2,093,962 people, with 1,842,457 patients who have recovered, and a total of 56,729 patients who died, as reported by Antara.
