JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie insists he still wants to be at Milan, and has no intention of leaving the San Siro football club this summer.
"I am proud to choose Milan and I have no intention of leaving. Of course, I want to stay forever," Kessie told La Gazzetta dello Sport, as quoted from football-italia, on Monday (07/26/2021).
Kessie is currently in Japan playing for the Ivory Coast national team at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The 24-year-old said that he would fix things once he returns to Milan, and said the club knew he wanted to stay with the Rossoneri.
"Now it's the Olympics, but when I come back I will fix everything. There will be no problems, I always keep my word. The club always knew that I would stay with the Rossoneri. An important season awaits us," Kessie said.
Kessie added that next season will be an important season, as Milan will compete in the Champions League, and must have high targets when competing in the league or tournament.
"I just want Milan. We are a fantastic group. I can't wait to hug my teammates and coaches again. We have to live up to the name that Milan has in Europe.
"We must have a maximum target in every competition, both league and cup. We will not disappoint," said Kessie.
This answer from Kessie gives confirmation to the clubs who are interested in signing him in the transfer market this summer.
Earlier, AC Milan were discussing with Kessie's representatives about a contract extension that will expire in June 2022, as reported by Antara.
