Kendal Regent: Social Affairs Ministry's Social Assistance Programs Help Improve Public Welfare

KENDAL, NETRALNEWS.COM - In front of Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini, Kendal Regent Dico M. Ganinduto reported that 99.9 percent of the social assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs had been disbursed. The Regent expressed gratitude since the social assistance had an impact on the welfare of the community.
Dico's statement was delivered during a visit by Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini, also known as Risma, with members of Commission VIII of the House of Representatives in Kendal Regency, Central Java (09/23/2021). The Minister of Social Affairs was present in the context of supervising the distribution of Social Aid (Bansos).
On that occasion, the Kendal Regent explained the social aid that were received from the Ministry of Social Affairs, namely Cash Social Assistance (BST), Keluarga Harapan Program (PKH), and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT)/Staple Food Cards.
"For BST, there are 42,630 KPM recipients, and as of September 22, 2021, for the May-June period, 31,076 KPM (beneficiary recipients)," said Dico in his remarks, on Friday (09/24/2021).

Furthermore, Dico also mentioned that 99 percent of the PKH distribution has been realized. He explained that for the first stage, 41,326 KPMs were recorded and 41,325 KPM had been distributed. In the second stage, 41,229 KPMs have been distributed, 41,227 KPM have been distributed. And the third stage recorded that 41,260 KPM have been distributed to as many as 40,590 KPMs.
"The first stage has been realized 99.9 percent, the second stage 99.9 percent and the third stage 98.9 percent," Dico said.
Then, for non-cash food assistance (BPNT)/Staple Food Cards, as of September 22, 2021, as many as 72,662 KPMs received assistance, 72,548 KPMs transacted and 114 that had not been distributed.
And lastly, for social assistance to orphans affected by COVID-19, a quota of 218 children was recorded, comprising of 40 children who have been given assistance, 30 children validate data, 178 remaining quota to be realized.
Regarding several aid programs that have not been realized, Dico confirmed that he has coordinated with State-Owned Banks Association (Himbara) and PT Pos Indonesia to resolve these problems.
"Yesterday we coordinated with PT Pos, indeed there was data that we verified and the data did not match the DTKS that had been given, hopefully we are all here to be united to ensure that the distribution of special social assistance and aid from the Ministry of Social Affairs is right on target," said Dico.
Dico did not forget to thank the Minister of Social Affairs for the social assistance that has been distributed in Kendal Regency. He reported that the social assistance provided had contributed to improving the economy and the welfare of the Kendal community.
"Of course, we thank the Minister for her attention in Kendal Regency and hope that it can also provide encouragement, especially for KPMs who have received assistance so that their businesses can be independent and after that they can open up job opportunities for other Kendal people," he added.
