JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - LeBron James scored 29 points, Russell Westbrook added 18 points and 11 rebounds, and the Los Angeles Lakers won 116-105 over the Orlando Magic on Friday night US time (Saturday morning Indonesian western time).

Carmelo Anthony came off the bench to score 19 of his 23 points in the second half.

James, who edged Paul Pierce to 15th on the NBA's list of total games played (1,344), had 12 of 23 shots on the court, as well as seven rebounds and five assists.

Los Angeles beat the Magic 31-16 in the third quarter to lead 85-78 as Anthony had eight points and Stanley Johnson (11 points) hit a pair of three-pointers. The Lakers led by 17 points in the fourth quarter, while Orlando lost their ninth game in a row.

Malik Monk also scored in double digits for Los Angeles with 10 points.

Wendell Carter Jr. became one of six Magic players to score in double figures with 19 points, after he missed seven games with a hamstring injury.

Jalen Suggs had nine assists, a career-high, and scored 13 of his 22 first-half points.

Franz Wagner contributed 15 points, Gary Harris added 13 points and Chuma Okeke and Mo Bamba each had 11 points.

Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley and assistant coach Nate Tibbetts have just been cleared of the league's COVID-19 health and safety protocols and, and are on the bench. Orlando previously suffered defeats to Portland and Philadelphia under coach Jesse Mermuys, as reported by Reuters and monitored by Antara.
