Children of Women Migrant Workers Can Disburse Social Aid through a Delegation of Authority Letter

BIMA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini continues to encourage the strengthening of economic independence and public welfare. Present in Sumbawa Regency, the Minister of Social Affairs distributed aid and ensured that underprivileged communities, vulnerable groups, and marginalized groups received government assistance.
For this purpose, the Minister of Social Affairs evaluated the assistants, representatives of the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara), and local governments. From the data, the Minister of Social Affairs found that as many as 129 Beneficiary Recipients (KPM) of the Keluarga Harapan Program (PKH) had not received assistance.
The Minister of Social Affairs then traced and directly checked the progress of the Social Assistance or Bansos that had not been distributed. From the assistants, the Minister of Social Affairs received an explanation that most of the KPMs work as women migrant workers (TKW) abroad.
The Minister of Social Affairs said that KPMs working abroad was not the reason for the aid not being distributed. In the case of TKWs, their children can obtain the social assistance with a delegation of authority letter from an adult family member.

"If there are relatives, you can change the management. Is there a grandmother? Enter the grandmother's data into the KK (family card) of the child of this female migrant worker. The Regent requests that the civil registration office can help. Later, the disbursement of funds can be completed with a delegation of authority letter," said Tri Rismaharini, also known as Risma, during a visit to the Karang Dima Village, Labuhan Badas District, Sumbawa Regency, on Thursday (10/14/2021).
The Minister of Social Affairs directed and ensured that the 129 KPMs mentioned above receive social assistance. For this purpose, the Minister of Social Affairs conducted a search to the KPMs' houses by riding a motorbike.
"I asked the assistants and the banks to pick up the KPMs for the aid to be disbursed here (site of the visit)," she said.
In Karang Dima Village, the Minister of Social Affairs greeted and provided assistance to persons with disabilities, orphans, as well as the elderly.
The types of assistance include accessibility assistance, Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) assistance, nutrition/vitamin assistance, entrepreneurship assistance. electric welding equipment, motor repair shop, agriculture, laundry, sewing, salon, kiosk, massage, and fishing gear
The assistance reached 142 beneficiaries with a value of IDR211,533,000. The distribution of aid is a collaboration of the technical service units (UPT) of the Ministry of Social Affairs from various regions, including Paramita Mataram Center, Gau Mabaji Makasar Center, and Soeharso Surakarta Center.
"This assistance is expected to increase the economic independence of the ladies and gentlemen. Thus, it can accelerate the government's efforts to reduce poverty," said the Minister of Social Affairs.
Assistance was also given to five KPMs of the PKH program graduates, with aid worth IDR2.5 million each.
