Lido Special Economic Zone's Investment Value Reaches IDR11.04 Trillion

JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - The development of the Lido Special Economic Zone (SEZ) is expected to be a momentum for national tourism recovery efforts. The total investment value of this project reaches IDR11.04 trillion.
Deputy for Coordination of Regional Development and Spatial Planning Wahyu Utomo, who represented Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto at the Proposal of Government Regulation Number 69 Year 2021 on SEZ MNC Lido City and the Inauguration of the Lido World Garden Development in Lido, Bogor, West Java, said that The development of the Lido SEZ is expected to be a momentum for national tourism recovery efforts, and can immediately realize the provision of jobs for the local public.
On the same occasion, there was also the groundbreaking of the Lido SEZ and the signing of the MoU between PT MNC Land Lido with the Agricultural Research and Development Agency of the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture.
"To encourage the creation of jobs for local workers, we encourage the Regional Government and the public to also take advantage of the Pre-Employment Card Program which has proven to be very useful for increasing the ability of workers and prospective workers to engage in suitable or available jobs," said Wahyu Utomo in a written statement, on Thursday (09/09/2021).
The Lido SEZ located in Lido, Bogor Regency, West Java Province, is a Tourism SEZ with an area of 1,040 hectares. In accordance with the investment plan commitments, in the next 20 years an investment of IDR32 trillion will be realized, which would create 29,545 jobs.
The total investment value of this project is IDR11.04 trillion, and is part of the investment plan for the construction of SEZ Lido Phase I with a total investment value of IDR14.2 trillion, which so far has been realized of IDR1 trillion.
In phase I, SEZ Lido is building a number of projects such as Lido Extension, Golf Course, Golf Club, Movieland, Theme Park, Music and Art Center, Infrastructure and Facilities, and Lido World Garden.
The presence of the Theme Park, which will be built within the Lido SEZ, is predicted to be able to increase the number of domestic and foreign tourist visits to reach 63.4 million people by 2038, or an average of 3.17 million tourists per year.
"Foreign exchange inflows from foreign tourists, and savings in foreign exchange outflows from domestic tourists can reach US $4.1 billion over 20 years," Wahyu added.
