Social Affairs Minister Discloses Budget Usage at Commission VIII Work Meeting

JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - As of June 2, 2021, the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs has spent 47.26 percent of its budget cap for the fiscal year of 2021.

The highest item in the budget spending is the post for social assistance expenditure at 49.32 percent. Budget spending for the National Economic Recovery (PEN) program reaches 50.33 percent.



Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini disclosed the distribution of the Ministry's budget at the Commission VIII Work Meeting at the House of Representatives on Thursday (06/03/2021).

There are four materials discussed in this Working Meeting, namely (1) Further Discussion of Policy on Poverty Data in Indonesia and 21 Million Dual Data of Social Assistance Recipients, (2) Discussion of Preliminary Discussions on the 2022 Draft Budget & 2022 RKP, (3) Evaluation of 2020 Budget Implementation, and (4) Performance Evaluation & Implementation of the 2021 Budget.

"The Ministry of Social Affairs has realized a budget of 47.26 percent of the 2021 FY cap. The highest item in the absorption of the budget is the social assistance expenditure post of 49.32 percent. As for the realization of the National Economic Recovery (PEN), it reaches 50.33 percent," said the Minister of Social Affairs, who was present accompanied by Echelon 1 officials and other relevant officials at the work meeting.

The work meeting was chaired by Chairperson of Commission VIII Yandri Susanto and deputy chairman, and members who attended both in person and online. The Minister of Social Affairs expressed gratitude for the budgetary support from Commission VIII.

"Commission VIII encourages higher realization in the next period," said Yandri.

The Ministry of Social Affairs budget for the 2021 fiscal year is IDR92.445.011.633.000, with a realization of IDR43,698,694,710,920 (47.26 percent). The biggest realization in social assistance posts, which amounted to IDR86,168,233,100,000, has been realized by 49.32 percent or IDRRp42.421.222.712.214.
