Apart from the Ministry of Social Affairs, there are also 13 Ministries/Institutions (K/L), 29 Provinces, and 266 Regencies/Cities that were also awarded as a form of appreciation to Ministries/Agencies and local governments. "We express our high appreciation through the 2020 APE Awards to 13 ministries/institutions, 29 Provinces, and 266 Regencies/Cities who have cared about and committed to the implementation of PUG in their agencies and regions, and we hope that the number of ministries/institutions and local governments who receive the awards will continue to increase in the years in the future," said PPPA Minister Bintang Puspayoga at the APE 2020 Award Ceremony which was held online.

On the same occasion, the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Muhadjir Effendy, said the increase to realize gender equality helped accelerate the development of the nation.
"The realization of gender equality in development can increase global Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by 26 percent. On the other hand, failure to realize it in the next six years could cause Indonesia to potentially lose 135 billion US dollars in annual GDP. The involvement of the central and regional governments is needed in implementing the PUG strategy," said Muhadjir.
Coordinating Minister Muhadjir appreciated the Minister of PPPA and staff for the implementation of the 2020 APE Award, and appreciated the submission of the 2020 APE in the ASEAN Gender Mainstreaming Strategic Frameworks 2021-2025 report as a form of appreciation at the ministries/institutions and local government levels, which is one example of best practice in Indonesia in efforts to institutionalize PUG.
APE 2020 is also one of the side events in the implementation of the 4th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Women (AMMW), where in 2021, Indonesia will host the event.
"Congratulations to the ministries/institutions and local governments who won the 2020 APE Award, both in the Mentor, Main, Intermediate, and Primary categories. I ask the ministries/institutions and regional heads to really implement PUG in the process of formulating and implementing their respective policies. Let's work hand in hand to improve gender-responsive development," Muhadjir added.
