Mobile World Congress 2021 Opens Online and Offline on June 28

JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - The Mobile World Congress (MWC) technology exhibition is back this year. However, as the event will be held during the COVID-19 pandemic, MWC 2021 will also take place online in addition to the offline exhibitions.
Taking place at Fira Gran Via, Barcelona, MWC 2021 will be held from June 28 to July 1, 2021. GSM Association, MWC's organizer, is targeting to attract 35,000 participants from all over the world and thousands of other online participants.
As quoted from a press release on the MWC 2021 website, GSMA CEO John Hoffman said this event will emphasize on the health and safety of participants who take part in their activities in Barcelona, and also a fun experience for those who attend online.
"Reuniting is a must, so adapting is paramount. Taking lessons from our hybrid event in Shanghai has been instrumental in helping the team shape the experience for MWC21," Hoffman said.

There will be 350 speakers at MWC 2021. However, a third of them will participate online.
GSMA works with Microsoft Teams as GSMA's official meeting and video conferencing partner. Microsoft Teams will later activate a number of features to provide the best online and face-to-face experience.
Online attendees can join live-streamed virtual exhibition tours led by industry experts, ask questions via live chat, or watch on-demand sessions.
MWC 2021 will also provide exclusive tours of a number of companies. Exhibitors such as Orange and TelcoDR will provide company tours to showcase their latest products and innovations.
There will also be a series of virtual Partner Program events hosted by thought leaders from around the world such as AWS, Braze, Facebook Connectivity, Huawei, IBM, KORE, Lenovo, Nvidia, and Snapchat. This session aims to share insights that can help solve some of today's most complex challenges.
In addition to the Partner Program tours and events, there are also networking workshop activities that will bring together leaders from various fields such as automotive, fintech, manufacturing, mobile IoT, telco edge, and drones. Each session is curated by an expert and designed to encourage debate on critical issues while allowing participants to connect.
MWC is considered one of the top three technology events in the world, along with the Consumer Electronics Show in the United States and IFA in Germany.MWC is regularly held in Barcelona between late February and early March every year, but the tech show was canceled last year due to COVID-19, while this year's event is pushed back to June, as reported by Antara.
