JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Indonesia Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Rini Soemarno targets the construction of the Jakarta-Bandung bullet railwayto reach 59 percent before the end of 2019.

"Alhamdulillah, before the end of 2019, development can reach 59 percent," Minister Rini told reporters at Walini, West Bandung Regency, West Java, Tuesday (05/14/2019).

Rini explained that the progress of the construction of the Jakarta-Bandung fast train has now reached 17.5 percent.

"So if we have 17.5 percent now, we can target up to 59 percent in the next seven months because we hope there are no significant obstacles," he said.

The Minister of BUMN also explained that related to land acquisition was almost 100 percent, there were only four percent left to be completed, and it was hoped that there would be no problems.

"Regarding permits, the Governor of West Java and West Bandung Regency are all very supportive," he said.

On this Tuesday, BUMN Minister Rini Soemarno inaugurated the connection of the Jakarta-Bandung fast train tunnel at Walini.
The connection of the tunnel is a new milestone in the construction of the Jakarta - Bandung (KCJB) fast train project.

After the work carried out for 15 months, this 608 meter tunnel became the first tunnel of 13 other KCJB tunnels that were successfully penetrated.

The seconds of Tunnel Walini's penetration were packaged in an event entitled "Tunnel Walini Breakthrough" and the process was witnessed directly by BUMN Minister Rini Soemarno, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Indonesia Xiao Qian, Director General of Land Procurement Arie Yuriwin, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil, Regent West Bandung Aa Umbara Sutisna.

As the first tunnel that was successfully penetrated, the Walini Tunnel has an inner diameter reaching 12.6 meters and an outer diameter reaching 14.3 meters. The tunnel which is located in Cikalongwetan District, West Bandung, has a money order in it as well as 2 fast train lines with positions DK95 + 472 on the inlet and DK96 + 080 at the outlet. The outlet side of this tunnel will be directly connected to Walini Station.

Tunnel Walini is a straight line tunnel with a slope of one per mile and has a rock level classification that is quite high (grade V) and a maximum depth of 37 meters. With this method, the inlet tunnel side has a total length of excavation of 228 meters while the outlet side is 380 meters.

The process involves more than 120 construction workers with tunnel excavations reaching an average of 35 meters and casting secondary lining on average 36 meters per month.
