Public Works Minister Visits Site of Serpong-Balaraja Toll Road in BSD City (special)

SERPONG, NETRALNEWS.COM - Indonesia Minister of Public Works and People's Housing Basuki Hadimuljono has visited the location of the construction of Serbaraja toll road project on Friday (9/20/2019) morning.

The toll road project is set to connect the Serpong and Balaraja areas in Tangerang Regency.

As it is known, this toll road project was initiated by the Tangerang Regency Government, and was initiated by Sinar Mas Land in 2012.

During a visit to the location, Public Works Minister Basuki Hadimuljono was welcomed by Sinar Mas Land Group CEO Michael Widjaja and Managing Director of the Sinar Mas Office Saleh Husin, as well as Tangerang Regent Ahmed Zaki Iskandar.

"Serpong-Balaraja toll development has shown significant progress, and is in accordance with the planned schedule," the Minister said.

The Serpong-Balaraja toll road of 39.8 kilometers was originally divided into three sections, namely the Serpong-Legok (9.8 km), Legok-Pasirbarat (1215 km) and Pasirbarat-Balaraja (17.8 km) sections.

The construction of the toll road project began in July 2019. The Serpong-Legok section is expected to be operable by 2021, while the 2nd and 3rd sections are expected to be opened in 2024.

The toll road is expected to be able to accommodate the development of Tangerang Regency, particularly BSD City and surrounding areas.

In the transformation of BSD City as the first integrated smart digital city, Sinar Mas Land emphasizes the aspect of mobility that will facilitate the movement and transportation of the community.

This is presented through various road constructions and improvements, as well as ease of traffic that is monitored in real-time and digitally through the BSD City Command Center.

BSD City provides the best facilities for residents, with access to toll roads and infrastructure in a good area.

This is also supported by the diversity of public transportation facilities available in BSD City, including Commuter Line electric trains for cross-city/area travel, as well as the free BSD Link shuttle bus service that connects landmarks in BSD City.

In certain areas such as BSD Green Office Park, short distance transportation is also equipped with Grab Wheels, the only electronic scooter service in Indonesia. This makes BSD City a superior area both for residential and commercial use.
