TANGERANG, NETRALNEWS.COM - Sinar Mas Land has conducted social community action in the form of free medical examinations, medical checkups, and dental examinations on Saturday (10/26/2019). The number of participants in this activity reached 500 residents. The community event was carried out at the Ibtidaiyah Raudlatul Anwar Madrasah Islamic Boarding School in Pagerhaur Village, Pagedangan District, Tangerang Regency.
Th social activity is carried out by Sinar Mas Land by cooperating with the Muslim Foundation of Sinar Mas, the Buddha Tzu Chi Foundation, Eka Hospital, Eka Tjipta Foundation and UPT Pukesmas Pagedangan.
Dhony Rahajoe, Managing Director of President Office at Sinar Mas Land and also Daily Chairperson of the Sinar Mas Muslim Foundation, explained that the social service activity was part of the company's corporate social responsibility, as well as the responsibilty to provide benefits to the community, especially those in the surrounding areas of BSD City.
"This activity aims to help the poor at the BSD City surrounding areas. We also include medical workers from various backgrounds as a form of tolerance between religious communities and the diversity that exists in the BSD City community," Dhony said at the location of the activity.
To note, the free medical treatment event involved medical workers consisting of 7 general practitioners (3 people from the Buddha Tzu Chi Foundation, 3 people from Eka Hospital, 1 person from the Pagedangan Health Center), 8 dentists (7 people from the Buddha Tzu Chi Foundation and 1 person from Eka Tjipta Foundation), 5 nurses (3 people from Eka Hospital, 1 person from the Buddha Tzu Chi Foundation and 1 person from the Pagedangan Health Center) and 5 pharmacists (4 people from the Buddha Tzu Chi Foundation, and 1 person from the Pagedangan Health Center) .
Dhony continued that Sinar Mas Land continues to optimize its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs from various segments, such as health, education, environmental preservation, as well as empowering MSMEs for the community.
Previously, by cooperating with the same parties, Sinar Mas Land also conducted social service for free medical examinations in a number of BSD City areas, namely MTsN 5 Tangerang in Ramadan, and Daarul Falihiin Islamic Boarding School on June 2019.
He also said that in 2017, Sinar Mas Land launched a program in the field of Community Development, namely SATU BSD (Gathering of Communities of Diverse Religions through Independence, Health, and Peace) program.
In the field of self-sufficient education, Sinar Mas Land together with Techpolitan provide scholarship programs to residents around BSD City.
"In addition to scholarships for universities, we also provide scholarships for residents around the area to become computer experts," Dhony said.
Sinar Mas Land also organizes the "Pasar Rakyat School" program at BSD City Modern Market regularly. The activity of this part of the Berdikari program aims to support economic growth, particularly MSMEs.
Meanwhile, in the Health pillar, Sinar Mas Land collaborated with senior badminton athlete Candra Wijaya, Men's Badminton Doubles Gold Medalist at the Sydney Olympics in 2000 and the 1997 World Champion, and a community of journalists who are members of the Sports Caring and Loving Journalists (JUSRAGA) to host the Sinar Mas Land Looking for Champions 2019 event.
In the Peace pillar, Sinar Mas Land has conducted the Al Quran Literacy and Reading (BBQ) program. The activity, in collaboration with the Sinar Mas Land Muslim Foundation, together with the BSD City Mosque Forum, and the Mama Papa Foundation, provided a Training of Trainer (ToT) on the fast and easy way to read the Qur'an using the Mama Papa method.
The activity was provided for hundreds of religious teachers and Koran teachers from 77 mosques around the BSD City area. The religious teachers and Koran teachers who have followed the Mama Papa ToT are required to teach back to students or students in their respective mosques.
Meanwhile, in an effort to preserve the environment, Sinar Mas Land has organized the Benteng Taruna Stadium Greening program, Kelapa Dua District, Tangerang Regency, by planting 1,000 trees in the sports center area.
