HOPE Worldwide Indonesia Initiates Meeting of Maya Soetoro and Businesses

JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - HOPE Worldwide Indonesia has initiated a meeting between Maya Soetoro and the business community concerned with the social sector and education at Nan Xiang, Sultan Hotel in Jakarta, on Wednesday (12/04/2019).

Maya Soetoro is a teacher at La Pietra, Hawaii School for Girls in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States (US). She was born to the couple of Lolo Soetoro and Ann Dunham. She is also the younger sister of former US President Barack Obama.

Lucas Sanjaya, the event host from HOPE Worldwide Indonesia, opened the informal discussion. Lucas said that one of the reasons for the meeting was to invite the business community to jointly raise awareness on education and leadership.

"Let us do something together for humanity," said Lucas, who is also a famous accountant.

At the informal breakfast, senior entrepreneurs and CEOs also introduced themselves to one another. Among the entrepreneurs and CEOs were Hary Theo, CEO of PT Netral Kontinental Media, and Teddy Chandra, who was also the host of the meeting.

Teddy Chandra said that he was happy to be invited to attend the meeting, as social care had become an obligation for human beings.

In addition, Maya Soetoro admitted that she was very enthusiastic and grateful for being invited to attend the meeting.

Maya provided information related to the development of various activities that she participated in that were related to leadership and youth.

The program that Maya conducted together focused on youths, and inspired them to do better. The program shifts annually to the appointed hosting country.

Despite the limited time, the senior business people and CEOs were very enthusiastic, and asked various questions. They also made discussions with Maya.

Maya hopes that there will also be representatives from Indonesia who can join and collaborate on the success of the program.

The event was also continued with lunch with youths and young entrepreneurs.
