BALIKPAPAN, NETRALNEWS.COM - Sinar Mas Land has inaugurated the Sinar Mas Land Boulevard, which is the second gateway to the Grand City Balikpapan area. The inauguration of the boulevard conducted on Monday (2/24/2020), in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan.
The inauguration of the access road was attended by Balikpapan Mayor Rizal Effendi, as well as the board of directors of Sinar Mas Land.
Sinar Mas Land Boulevard, which connects Jl MT Haryono - Jl Soekarno-Hatta KM 7 towards and from Samarinda, can be used by vehicles that have a tonnage weight of five tons.
Vehicles weighing more than five tons still have to go through the existing road, namely Jl Soekarno Hatta.
In addition to unraveling traffic, Sinar Mas Land Boulevard at Grand City Balikpapan can also reduce the travel time from Balikpapan to Samarinda or vice versa.
The construction of this access road was conducted by Sinar Mas Land through one of its subsidiaries, namely PT Sinar Mas Wisesa, which was carried out for 1.5 years.
This access road is part of the development of the Grand City residential area which is designed in two branches to the shopping center, offices, recreation center, sports, education, as well as access to the KM 13 Bal-Sam (Balikpapan-Samarinda) toll gate.
"This is for us an extraordinary gift on the anniversary of the City of Balikpapan. Sinar Mas Land has greatly helped the progress of this city. The location of this road is about 50 to 60 Km from the new State Palace in Penajam," said the Mayor of Balikpapan.
Rizal continued that Balikpapan was indeed prepared because it was not possible for all to live in the capital, as the buffer zone would be busier.
"We are grateful that Sinar Mas Land has provided a good example for developers, especially in the case of social facilities, the road is all wide. It must be very useful for us," he added.
Meanwhile, Franky Najoan, CEO of East Indonesia at Sinar Mas Land, said "Sinar Mas land Boulevard will divide the Grand City housing area, not only impacting accessibility, but also creating a new business and economic area in the city of Balikpapan. When Sinar Mas Land Boulevard is opened to the public, we can be sure there will be an increased level of crowd in the Grand City area. "
Previously, the Grand City Balikpapan area in 2017 operated its first gate, which is the access/exit of Grand City from Jl MT Haryono.
In the future, this area will have three main gates that are useful to facilitate the mobility of its residents and the people of the city of Balikpapan.
With the existence of the boulevard, it has been proven that Sinar Mas Land continues to be committed to supporting the development of the city of Balikpapan, not only to facilitate accessibility, but also to create and stimulate the growth of new business and economic areas in the city of Balikpapan.
