Indonesia has so many local brands that offer not only quality but pocket-friendliness as well. Responding to this challenge, Sinar Mas Land collaborated with GK Plug and Play and PT Harapan Bangsa Kita (Hebat), held the Hebat Urban Community event on Saturday, February 29, 2020 and Sunday, March 1, 2020 at The Breeze BSD City.
This event aims to educate millennials in Greater Jakarta about the quality of Indonesia's local brands that are not inferior to foreign quality.
Irawan Harahap, Project Leader of the Digital Hub at Sinar Mas Land, said on Saturday (02/29/2020) that this activity was part of the company's commitment in supporting the industry and local brands or micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) to become a host in their own country.
The trademark or brand has an important meaning for a product being marketed.
"With a brand that is known to the wider community, it will certainly increase the products produced and marketed. Of course, a good brand will create jobs, improve the regional economy, and make a sense of nationalism in Indonesia even higher," he said.
Hebat Urban Community is a venue for collaboration of various local brands that are exhibited in an event themed for young people. Also in this activity, small and medium businesses also exhibited and sold products which will put in competition by Hebat.
The winners of the competition will then be given capital assistance as well as business strategies. The first day's agenda was be filled with sharing sessions with the founders of well-known local brands, including Kaesang Pangarep as founder of hebat, Ansari Kadir as Chief Marketing Officer of Hebat, Donny Pramono as the Founder and CEO of Sour Sally Group, Putra Dwi Karunia as Co-Founder of Brodo Shoes, and several other local businesses.
On the second day, a series of celebrities in the country also enlivened this activity, including Ikmal Tobing, DJ Goeslan, and Jaz Hayat who will perform as special performances from the entire series of Hebat Urban Community events.
The two-day event was enlivened by a number of local brand booths who could present and prove that "Local Brands Can be Upgraded" including: NAH Project, Brodo, Exsodos57, Nokha, Khakikakiku, The Banana, Ternakopi, Ngedrink, Yang Ayam, Alfamart, as well as Astra Indonesia.
