BOGOR, NETRALNEWS.COM - Deputy Mayor of Bogor Dedie A Rachim says 17 hotels in Bogor have temporarily suspended their operations to support the government's efforts in curbing the Covid-19 coronavirus outbreak.
"We, from the Bogor City Government, express appreciation to the Bogor City branch of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) that supports the government's policy. Let us together prevent the spreading of coronavirus," he said to the media through video footage, in Bogor City, on Tuesday.
Dedie A Rachim explained that the City Government of Bogor had previously issued a Circular, namely the Bogor Mayor's Appeal Number: 500/75-Law concerning Temporary Suspension of Office Activities in the Context of Preventing the Spreading of Corona Virus Disease 19 (COVID-19), on March 23, 2020 .
The contents of the Appeal of the Mayor signed by Deputy Mayor of Bogor City Dedie A Rachim, in Bogor, Monday (3/23/2020) are:
Appeal to all companies in the city of Bogor to be serious and immediately undertake temporary suspension for all office activities, close operational facilities, and conduct business activities from home.
For companies that cannot stop total office activities, they are asked to reduce these activities to a minimum time limit, both the number of employees, the time of work activities, and operational facilities, and encourage as many employees as possible to work at home.
The appeal is valid for 11 days, from 23 March 2020 to 2 April 2020.
According to Dedie, the issuance of the Mayor's Appeal referred to the Circular of the Minister of Manpower number M/3/HK.04/III/2020 on Worker/Labor Protection and Business Continuity in the Prevention and Countermeasure of COVID-19.
This temporary operational halt, according to Dedie, certainly has positive and negative impacts, but it must be seen from the positive aspects of the human side.
"There is a short-term impact that is how the spread of COVID-19 can be stopped, while the long-term impact, there is an opportunity to further strengthen its business," he said.
