SOUTH TANGERANG, NETRALNEWS.COM - Sinar Mas Land, represented by Head of Corporate Affairs Division at Sinar Mas Land Dony Martadisata, has delivered 100 Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) packages to the Mayor of South Tangerang, Airin Rachmi Diany, at the South Tangerang Mayor's Office.
The PPE aid will then be distributed by the Regional Government to a number of referral hospitals that treat coronavirus patients in the South Tangerang City area.
Each PPE package contains hazard clothes, N95 masks, boots, goggle masks, and rubber gloves. This activity is conducted to assist the government in meeting the PPE needs for medical personnel in hospitals treating coronavirus patients.
Furthermore, this handover of PPE packages is a form of implementation of corporate social responsibility (CSR) of Sinar Mas Land through PT. Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk.
On Friday (3/4/2020), Dony Martadisata said that PPEs are currently one of the rarest and highly needed items by medical personnel. The medical PPE is likened to a medical team's equipment in the fight against the coronavirus. The PPE will also prevent the coronavirus from infecting the the medical team that are treating Covid-19 patients at hospitals.
"This motivates Sinar Mas Land to provide assistance in the form of PPE to the South Tangerang City Government to help doctors and nurses who are saving and caring for coronavirus patients. Hopefully this PPE assistance can encourage health workers who are struggling at this time," he said.
Sinar Mas Land has also delivered 100 PPE packages to the Tangerang Regency Government. Previously, on Tuesday (31/03/2020) the company also provided 750 PPE packages to the Banten Provincial Government. The PPE was distributed by each local government to a number of coronavirus patient referral hospitals in the region.
For prevention efforts in the community some time ago, Sinar Mas Land, together with housewives and community members of the BSD City Smart House, also distributed sanitizers, masks, and disinfectant fluids to a number of schools in urban villages and suburbs in the Banten area, such as Mauk, Sukadiri, Gunung Kaler, Pandeglang, and Lebak.
