TANGERANG, NETRALNEWS.COM - The world of start-ups is currently very much developed and is carried out by millennials and generation Z. In Indonesia, there have been many seminars and short classes on procedures and step-by-step guide to create start-ups.
Not only that, a lot of competition and start-up competitions are carried out, both by the government and private companies. However, there are still many who do not have access to the next stage. The main problem is funding to start their start-up.
Sinar Mas Land, in collaboration with Nakama, held a Start-up Heroes as a bootcamp consisting of a series of training programs and one-on-one mentoring. The start-up will be given access to funding from local investors.
The program initiators are Temmy, Iga Alma, Thomas Ardi and Hendri Chen from Nakama. They have experience running several Impactpreneur seminars, start-up events, and community builder seminars.
At the Heroes Start-up, Nakama raised capital from local investors, then ran an education and mentoring program for a number of start-ups for three months starting today. At the peak of the activity, start-ups are ready to meet the investors in a gala dinner that will take place in October.
A total of 30 professional mentors will oversee the training process of more than 1,000 participants from 500 online start-ups. This event is supported by Amazon Web Services (AWS), Intel, Techinasia, Kejora Venture and Dailysocial.
This is the first bootcamp program that is held during the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, the event took place according to the Covid-19 health protocol where participants and mentors remained comfortable in face-to-face meetings. This face-to-face event is limited to selected founders only and other participants can follow it online through the Zoom application.
In total, there were 44 selected participants who took part in the Heroes Start-up event which took place at The Breeze BSD City semi-outdoor atrium, Saturday (7/25). The openness of the event was apparent from the participants who attended, who came from various fields including property, tourism, F&B and MSMEs, from adolescents to up to 60 years.
Sinar Mas Land's Digital Hub Project Leader Irawan Harahap expressed hope that with the program, Sinar Mas Land, through the Digital Hub can support young talents, and the digital community continues to grow even in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
"As we know it, the presence of technology is increasingly needed because many activities are carried out online. This program is also a form of our seriousness to continue to enrich the Digital Hub ecosystem and develop an integrated smart digital creative city in BSD City, "Irawan said.
Sinar Mas Land as one of the supporters of the Start-up Heroes event actively contributes to the development of the digital world in Indonesia.
The seriousness of Sinar Mas Land in supporting the development of digital technology is manifested in the formation of the Digital Hub in an area of 26 hectares. The area is specifically dedicated as a research and education center for startups to multinational companies engaged in digital and technology.
"This bootcamp will provide an opportunity for every start-up participant to get one-on-one monitoring with the mentors in accordance with the start-up field that was built. Nakama will facilitate, foster, and bring together excellent start-ups with investors," concluded Temmy from Nakama.
