East Java Police Arrest Two Suspects of Murdered and Mutilated Teacher (special)

SURABAYA, NETRALNEWS.COM - The East Java Police have arrested two suspects in the murder of non-exempt teacher Budi Hartanto (28). The suspects have the initials AP and AJ.

Budi Hartanto was murdered mutilated. The mutilated body parts were then hidden in a suitcase and bushes near the river, precisely under the bridge of Karanggondang Village, Udanawu District, Blitar, Wednesday (3/4/2019).

Head of East Java Police Public Relations Commissioner Frans Barung Mangera said the two suspects were arrested in different locations.

"AP was arrested in Jakarta on Thursday (04/11/2019) afternoon, and is taken to the Jakarta Metro Police. Meanwhile, AJ was arrested in Kediri on Thursday (4/11/2019) night," Barung said in Surabaya. Friday (4/12/2019).

Furthermore, he said the police also found the victim's head in Kediri.

"The head was found buried in Kediri, and the blood sample found on the head matches that of the victim," he said.

Barung continued that the suspectes murdered the victim in Kediri, and dumped the victims's mutilated body parts in Blitar and Kediri.

Currently investigators are still searching for the weapons used by the two suspects.

Investigators are also examining the relationship between the suspects and the victim. Barung suspected the relationship between the suspects and the victims was related to romance.
