JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has accompanied Indonesian President Joko Widodo in opening the 21st INACRAFT Exhibition in 2019, at Assembly Hall 1, Balai Sidang Jakarta Convention Center, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (04/24/2019).

Governor Anies expressed his appreciation for the holding of the 2019 INACRAFT exhibition which made Jakarta Province the main icon of the exhibition. The Jakarta Provincial Government is playing the icon and ambience of this exhibition with the theme 'Jakarta Enjoyable Multicultural Diversities'.

It is hoped that the City of Jakarta will not only be a good host, but also an icon that impresses all visitors, both residents of Jakarta, communities from all over Indonesia, and visitors from abroad.

"Jakarta has always been the host of INACRAFT, this time is a bit different because we are also an icon in INACRAFT," Anies said on Wednesday (4/24/2019).

According to him, Jakarta as the main icon of INACRAFT 2019 is an opportunity for Jakarta to present handicraft handicrafts in the world-class handicraft festival.

"We hope that Jakarta can truly be an impressive icon for all visitors. Hopefully INACRAFT 2019 will be one of the most memorable for all visitors. I also hope this will enable Jakarta to do benchmarking," Anies said.

Furthermore, he added, a craft exhibition such as INACRAFT is an opportunity to learn from each other, compare and share experiences, while expanding networks.

Anies also stressed, with the holding of the INACRAFT exhibition or other similar activities in Jakarta, it could move the economy in Jakarta and also open opportunities for employment in the capital.

"INACRAFT is big, because they are present in 60 countries, and all of Indonesia. Almost all of them stay in Jakarta, shopping, eating, drinking, (and using) transportation," he said.

"Events like this really move the economy to help prepare jobs. And for us also the tax is income for Jakarta," continued Anies.

It should be noted, the exhibition entitled Jakarta International Handicraft Trade Fair (INACRAFT 2019) was chosen as one of the largest handicraft product exhibitions in Southeast Asia, which was held for the 21st time at the JCC, on April 24-28 2019.

The exhibition was attended by around 1,421 participants from all corners of the country consisting of craftsmen, entrepreneurs, producers, and exporters of handicrafts.

This year, several friendly countries also enlivened the exhibition by displaying handicraft products from each country, including Morocco, Japan, Poland, Pakistan and Hong Kong.
