JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS - Indonesia Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (JAMPidsus) Adi Toegarisman says he would conduct a case expose after his office questioned Sofyan Basir two times as a witness.

That way, the Attorney General's Office (AGO) is just one step away from naming the non-active President Director of state-owned electricity company Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) as suspect in the case of corruption on marine vessel lease.

Adi explained that Sofyan Basir was questioned as a witness related to the alleged criminal act of corruption on Leasing Marine Vessel Power Plant (LMVPP) lease, and procurement of fuel oils for the LMVPP. The project was a collaboration between PLN and Karpowership in 2016-2017.

"So we will analyze it later, and if needed, we will dig deeper to get the facts and look for the suspects. Surely whoever are involved in this case will be named as suspets," he said on Monday (05/27/2019).

Earlier, the AGO on Friday (24/5) and Monday (27/5) had examined Sofyan and 32 other witnesses.

Adi also said that the investigating team had seized dozens of documents to strengthen the evidence in the naming of Sofyan Basir as suspect, and Karpowership in the near future. Adi said that his party would work in accordance with the SOP in determining the suspect.

"We have confiscated all the document documents. We will work according to the existing SOP," he said
