Earthquake of 5.3-Magnitude Hits West Pasaman (special)

JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - The Indonesia Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that an earthquake with magnitude 5.3 had occurred.

The earthquake was confirmed to occur on Monday (6/17/2019) at 18:04:01 WIB. The location of the earthquake is at latitude 0.36 LS, longitude 99.00 BT and a depth of 23 Km.

Description of earthquake location:

105 km Southwest of Pasaman Barat, West Sumatra (West Sumatra);
115 km Southwest of Agam-Sumbar;
130 km northwest of Pariaman-Sumbar;
191 km Northwest of Padang-Sumbar;
1082 km northwest of Jakarta-Indonesia.

BMKG also confirmed that this earthquake had no tsunami potential.
