JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - The Jakarta Environment Agency office says the commemoration of the peak night of Jakarta's 492th anniversary celebration, on Saturday (6/22/2019) night produced 73 tons of garbage.

"The results of the 492th anniversary of Jakarta's celebration created garbage of 200 cubic meters or 73 tons," said Andono Warih, Acting Head of Jakarta Environmental Agency on Sunday (06/23/2019).

Andono explained that all the garbage had been taken to Bantargebang, Bekasi. According to him, the garbage is mostly in the form of food wraps.

"There are lots of inorganic packaging, plastic, paper and food wraps," explained Andono.

The garbage was immediately cleaned by 300 officers, consisting of 200 people from the Central Jakarta Environment Office and 100 people from the Jakarta Environmental Agency.

They immediately worked to clean up the garbage that was scattered after the event held in the Sarinah - Bundaran HI area, Central Jakarta, until the morning, and then taken to the Bantargebang Garbage Landfill.

The Jakarta Provincial Government held the peak night of the 492th Jakarta DKI Anniversary celebration in the Bundaran HI area.

A number of artists participated in enlivening the event. Among others, Wali, Kotak, Pasha, Ivan Gunawan, Astrid Tiar, Daus Separo and Siti Badriah.
