JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Several officers of the Indonesia Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) have seized two suitcases after searching the office of House of Representatives Commission VI member I Nyoman Dhamantra in Nusantara I Building, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Monday (12/8/2019) afternoon.
The search of Dhamantra's office was carried out by eight KPK officers for around 3.5 hours from 15:00 to 18.35 local time.
The KPK officers did not provide information when they finished conducting the search. The KPK officers, wearing hats and masks, immediately left the 6th floor of Nusantara I Building after completing a search of Dharmantra's office room.
Previously, KPK had named I Nyoman Dhamantra, a member of the PDI-P faction at the House of Representatives, along with five others as suspects in the bribery case related to the management of garlic import license in 2019.
"KPK has upgraded the status of the case to investigation, with six people as suspects," said KPK Chairman Agus Rahardjo during a press conference at the KPK building, Jakarta, Thursday (8/8) night.
In its development, the KPK has detained I Nyoman Dhamantra (INY) along with five other people who have been named as suspects in the bribery case for the 2019 importation of garlic licenses.
Six suspects were detained, comprising of three bribery recipients and three bribe givers, as reported by Antara.
