BOGOR, NETRALNEWS.COM - Bogor Police have seized thousands of illegal class G hard drugs from a drugstore in Gunungsindur sub-district, Bogor Regency. Of the 32,350 unproven items, 21,250 items were Tamadol, 10,000 hexymer, and 100 trihexphenidyl drugs.

The Bogor Police also also arrested the drugstore’s owner, MH (25). "The drugs were sold freely without a prescription," a police spokesperson said. 

The discovery of the selling of illegal hard drugs was based on information received by the police from the public. The arrest stemmed from a public complaint saying that the store was selling hard drugs freely without requesting any doctor's prescriptions.

From the examination result, the drugs were sold to Greater Jakarta area. Each week, MH earned a turnover of about IDR80 million, and the drugs were always sold out every week.

"The negative effects of these drugs are very dangerous for health in the long term when consumed by people without a doctor's prescription," the police spokesperson added.

The perpetrator is charged with article 196 jo 197 law number 36 of 2009 on health with the punishment of maximum imprisonment of 15 years and a fine of at most IDR1.5 billion.
