JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - The entire crew of Konser 7 Ruang led by famous Indonesian jazz singer Andre Hehanusa got a surprise. On Friday night (06/26/2020), they had special guests, namely Indonesia Minister of Social Affairs Juliari P Batubara and his entourage.

The arrival of the Social Affairs Minister was to provide full support to Andre Hehanusa and his friends who sought to help the people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic by collecting donations through concerts.

"I am happy because these fellow musicians have the same mission as us in the government. As it is known, the Ministry of Social Affairs was given an assignment by President Joko Widodo to help people affected by the pandemic through social assistance programs," Juliari said at the house that was transformed into DSS Music Studio, West Jakarta Pesanggrahan area, in a written statement received by Netralnews on Saturday (06/27/2020).

On this occasion, the Minister of Social Affairs handed over 851 packages of the President's Basic Needs Aid to Indonesian art workers affected by the Covid-19 pandemic through the Indonesian Heart Foundation (Yayasan Hati Indonesia), which was managed by Andre Hehanusa.

The President's Social Aid will be distributed directly to arts workers throughout GreaterJakarta that are affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Symbolically, the assistance was handed over to one of the members of the Indonesian Heart Foundation on the sidelines of the Konser 7 Ruang event.

"Thank you for the role of the foundation's team that together with us support the government to channel aid to the people. We will continue to provide assistance to those affected," he said.

Representing his colleagues, Andre Hehanusa expressed his sincerity and gratitude for the Social Affairs Minister's willingness to attend the virtual concert venue. He also appreciated the presence of the Minister of Social Affairs and according to him, assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs was very meaningful for the crew and the arts workers.

Andre said art workers, especially in the field of music, were also affected by Covid-19. Social restrictions directly impact the music events of singer artists who cannot hold concerts or musical performance events.

"They are laid off and desperately need help to survive. With this assistance, it is enough to help their daily food needs," he said.

On the same occasion, Chairman of the Indonesian Heart Foundation Trustees Michael Umbas handed over souvenirs in the form of t-shirts that read "Fight Covid-19" which was the daily uniform of the foundation team.
