Social Affairs Minister Ask PHK Counselors to Educate Beneficiaries

JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Indonesia Minister of Social Affairs Juliari P Batubara reminded all Keluarga Harapan Program (PKH) assistants to focus on family assistance efforts and educate the beneficiary families (KPM) to be independent.

According to the Minister, the role of PKH facilitators was very strategic as the spearhead of the program and encouraging integrated efforts so KPM can become more independent.

"I think the role of the PKH companion is very strategic and reasonable for us on behalf of the Ministry of Social Affairs to express appreciation and appreciation," said the Minister.

This statement was conveyed by the Minister of Social Affairs when delivering directions through Video Conference (Vicon) in the opening of the P2K2/FDS PKH E-learning Training BBPPKS Yogyakarta in the Social Minister's meeting room, Salemba, Jakarta, on Monday (6/29/2020).

Juliari was accompanied by the Head of the Social Research and Counseling Education Agency (BP3S) Syahabuddin, and followed by 420 PKH assistants from their respective places.

On that occasion, Social Minister stressed PKH companions were prohibited from holding a Prosperous Family Card (KKS).

"For the umpteenth time, I remind that the facilitators do not hold the KKS under any conditions, except when the beneficiaries are unable to bring their own KKS cards," he said.

Through the PKH Family Capacity Building (P2K2) meeting/Family Development Session (FDS) PKH is expected to be able to encourage the achievement of PKPM KPM graduation targets each year in accordance with the parameters of a prosperous family.

"I ask Kabadiklitpensos to examine the parameters of KPM graduation so that the graduation achievement target is clear every year," said Juliari.

The Social Affairs Minister also gave directions in the P2K2/FDS PKH E-learning BPPKS Padang Education and Training program with 360 assistants, as the Covid-19 pandemic and the number of new poverty will also increase.

"Data collection on new poor families must be done more carefully so that the PKH program is on target and the facilitator is expected to be able to deliver beneficiary families to be more prosperous and graduate independently," explained Juliari.

Through this year's P2K2/FDS Education and Training program, it is expected to run smoothly and what is conveyed will be useful for all the companions.

Entering a new normal period or a new normality so that PKH companions continue to comply with the health protocol when carrying out their duties. These protocols include wearing a mask, washing hands with soap with running water, not crowding, and keeping a distance.
