JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - The budget spending of the Indonesia Ministry of Social Affairs has reached 60.38 percent, far above the average realization of the national budget of 39.19%. Based on these figures the Ministry of Social Affairs ranks first in the realization of the budget among government ministries and institutions.
The total budget cap of the Ministry of Social Affairs for the fiscal year of 2020 is IDR 104,453,849,680,000, up from the previous allocation of IDR 62.7 trillion. As of today, IDR 63,064,116,571,279 has been realized (60.38%), including an additional allocation for the Covid-19 social assistance program.
The highest level of expenditure were on social assistance (bansos). Of the budget cap amounting to IDR 100,212,378,175,000, the realization was IDR 61,617,057,314,917 or 61.49%. In line with that, the realization of other types of spending also runs with an increasing trend.
Social Affairs Minister Juliari P Batubara indeed paid special attention to the realization of the budget. On various occasions, he continued to encourage his staff to accelerate, including budget realization in all work units, especially for social assistance spending during the Covid-19 pandemic.
"Aocial assistance is needed by beneficiaries to reduce their economic burden. In addition, I also encourage the social assistance beneficiaries to immediately spend money to accelerate the economic cycle. The same is true for other shopping posts in the ministry," said Social Affairs Minister Juliari on Tuesday (06/30/2020).
Meanwhie, Secretary General Hartono Laras said the Social Affairs Minister also went directly to the sites and locations to check the distribution of social assistance. In a week, the Social Affairs Minister can move three or four times to different locations to check the distribution of social assistance.
"Even on the eve of Eid al-Fitr, Social Minister is still in the field to make sure the community can be happy on holiday with social assistance that has been received," said Hartono Laras on a separate occasion.
Hartono also said that the Ministry of Social Affairs made various breakthroughs in the distribution of social assistance. Various attempts were made as work with a sense of crisis during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Some breakthroughs include good cooperation from various parties, not getting stuck with routines, assistance carried out simultaneously, updating data, accuracy of recipients, adding vendors, as well as adding transportation fleets for distribution.
