SUKABUMI, NETRALNEWS.COM - The acceleration of the distribution of Cash Social Assistance (BST) for people affected by the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic continues to be carried out by the Indonesia Ministry of Social Affairs. One of them is in two locations in Sukabumi Regency, West Java.

"Today I personally observed the distribution of BST Phase III in Sukabumi Regency to 410 Beneficiary Families (KPM), and today it is completed," said Social Affairs Minister Juliari P Batubara at GOR Desa Benda, Sukabumi Regency, on Thursday (07/09/2020).

The second location is at Bale Desa Kutajaya, Sukabumi Regency, in which BST was distributed to 531 KPM.

Social Affairs Minister Juliari Batubara was accompanied by Adjo Sarjono, Deputy Regent of Sukabumi, Asep Sasa Purnama, Director General of Poverty Handling, Edi Suharto, Director General of Social Empowerment, and Nurpujianto, Director of PFM Region 1.

After the distribution of phase III, said Juliari, the next aid from the government is IDR300,000 per month per family, which is distributed until December 2020.

The distribution of BST continues to be strengthened by coordination with the regional governments, because in the field there are local governments, PT Pos Indonesia, and banks from the Association of State Banks (Himbara).

Currently, economic conditions are down and residents need BST to move the community's economy and cover basic family needs that cannot be met because of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic

"Earlier I asked 2-3 residents, and they said they needed around IDR3 million due to the impact from Covid-19 that are affecting their economy.

With a BST of IDR600,000, it can move the community's economy and meet the needs of families, "Juliari ordered.
