Minister of Social Affairs Juliari P Batubara attended the Qurban event in the courtyard of the Al Hikmah Mosque, within the Ministry of Social Affairs Office. In his remarks, Social Minister Juliari said the atmosphere of Eid al-Adha this year was different from last year.

"This year, the Eid al-Adha we have been through in an atmosphere of concern and pandemic is still high. However, thank God, there are more sacrificial animals. This shows that Eid al-Adha is able to inspire more people to sacrifice, empathize and sympathize with others," he said on Friday (07/31/2020).

Juliari expressed emotion and pride That more and more are touched by their hearts to sacrifice.

"This shows the strong spirit of resistance to the difficult situation that we are currently facing. There is no word" surrender "to the crisis. So it is not a form of arrogance," he said.

The Social Affairs Minister hopes the noble values ​​of Eid al-Adha that are thickly colored with the spirit of willingness to sacrifice and never give up, animate all employees in the Ministry of Social Affairs, and in general to the wider community.

"We all have to get up. Especially now the Ministry of Social Affairs has gained the country's confidence in dealing with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. This is reflected in our budget which continues to increase more than double," he said.

The Minister of Social Affairs called on his staff to take responsibility for the country's trust by continuing to improve performance.

"Our budget is large but the realization is also high. Even the Supreme Audit Board has provided a Fair Opinion without Exception (WTP) opinion. Continue to maintain and improve performance. Make WTP a tradition," said the Minister.

To the community representatives around the Ministry of Social Affairs office, representatives of social organizations, and invitations who were present, the Minister of Social Affairs expressed sympathy and prayed that the crisis would end soon.

On this occasion the Social Minister Juliari handed over symbolically a type of limousine cow weighing 1 ton. Out of 41 sacrificial animals, 11 of them were slaughtered at different times. While the rest is distributed to a number of parties who need it.

Apart from officials from the Ministry of Social Affairs, sacrificial animals also came from outside parties, both from the State Bank Association (Himbara), and the community. Before being handed over as sacrificial animals, DKI Jakarta health service officials have examined the condition of the animals, and declared healthy and fit for consumption.
