TASIKMALAYA, NETRALNEWS.COM - The Indonesia Ministry of Social Affairs, through the Directorate General of Social Empowerment, has attention to residents affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, one of which are artists.
The Ministry of Social Affairs' Dharma Wanita Advisor Grace Batubara said the central government also has concern for all residents affected by Covid-19, especially those who have not received assistance at all.
"This humanitarian activity is in the form of food packages assistance for residents affected by Covid-19, especially for those who have never received them at all," said Grace during a visit to Tasikmalaya, Wednesday (16/9/2020).
In the City of Tasikmalaya, a total of 2,300 packages, consisting of 300 basic food packages were distributed through the Simphoni Foundation; 600 through the Tasikmalaya Arts Council; 390 through Toriqul Zanah Foundation; 710 through the Akhlak Mulia Foundation; and 400 through the Al Furqon Foundation in Tasikmalaya Regency.
Admittedly, the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic was felt by everyone without exception, causing sudden poverty and the government was committed to helping all levels of society.
"In particular, we would like to thank the Mayor and Regent who have been active in helping the central government, I hope that with strong discipline the Covid-19 pandemic will end soon," Grace concluded.
Chairman of the Tasikmalaya City Arts Council, Bode Riswandi expressed his gratitude for the attention from the government. At first the artists were jealous because they barely received social assistance, the Arts Council tried to submit a request to the Ministry of Social Affairs.
"Alhamdulillah, today, aid in the form of basic necessities is ready to be distributed to art workers and residents affected by Covid-19. Efforts to help each other are the best way to build friendship," said Bode.
