DENPASAR, NETRALNEWS.COM - Indonesia Minister of Social Affairs Juliari P Batubara has expressed appreciation for the Indonesia House of Representatives' support for the Ministry of Social Affairs' programs. The House support can be seen from the continued increase in the Ministry of Social Affairs budget, especially in handling the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Social Affairs Minister Juliari stated that the continued increase in the Ministry of Social Affairs' budget in handling the impact of the pandemic cannot be separated from the strong cooperation and support from the House of Representatives (DPR).
"To the Chairperson of the House, Puan Maharani, we would like to express our gratitude and appreciation. The collaboration between the government and the House has had a very positive impact on the performance of the Ministry of Social Affairs in handling the impact of the Covid-9 pandemic," Juliari said in Denpasar, on Friday (10/16/2020).
Juliari, together with the Minister of Women Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA) I Gusti Ayu Bintang Darmawati, accompanied House Chairperson Puan Maharani in Bali to witness the disbursement of social assistance in two locations.
The first is in Dauh Yeh Cani Village, Abiansemal District, Badung Regency. Here, the group saw the distribution of Cash Social Assistance (BST) and Rice Social Assistance (BSB).
Second, the group watched a simulation of the distribution of Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT)/Basic Needs Program by Bank BTN at the e-Warong KUBE location in South Denpasar District. They also spoke with the local beneficiary famiies (KPM).
The number of beneficiaries of the Keluarga Harapan Program (PKH) in Bali Province is 94,300 KPMs, with an assistance value of IDR47,150 billion, spread across 9 districts/cities.
The number of BPNT/Staple Food Card beneficiaries in Bali Province is 174,480 KPMs in 9 districts/cities. As of October 2020, Bali Province has received assistance amounting to IDR319.452 billion.
For BST, the number of beneficiaries in Bali Province is 189,635 KPMs with a value of IDR568.869 billion. For BSB in Bali Province, the aid reaches 86,566 KPMs with a volume of rice as much as 3,895,470 kg, or a value of IDR 39,024,818,460.
