Social Affairs Ministry Delivers 500 Food Packages and Soap to Covid-19 Hospital (kemensos)

JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - The Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs continues supports the government in its efforts to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic. One of the supporting roles is by providing assistance in the form of food packages and bathing soap.

"We have been here since last April through the directorates at the Ministry of Social Affairs," said Director of Social Protection for Social Disaster Victims (PSKBS) Sunarti at the Emergency Hospital for Handling Covid-19 Wisma Atlet Kemayoran, in Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (11/24/2020).

The PSKBS Directorate and the Directorate General of Social Protection and Security delivered aid in the form of 500 food packages and 2,000 soap bars that were received by the Field Operations Commander Lieutenant Colonel drg M Arifin, Sp. Ort, M.Tr.

"This assistance of basic necessities and soap is a sign of caring. Hopefully it will further strengthen the cooperation between the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Covid-19 Emergency Hospital, especially for those in need," Sunarni said.

She also said the Ministry of Social Affairs has also provided psychosocial services for health workers and others, as health workers work so hard sometimes and leave their families at home.

"The psychosocial services includes mentoring and support for health workers, considering their task is so challenging that they need support to stay fit," Sunarti said.

Lieutenant Colonel M Arifin expressed appreciation and gratitude for the assistance provided by the Ministry of Social Affairs to the Covid-19 Emergency Hospital at Wisma Atlet Kemayoran.

"We appreciate and express our gratitude for the assistance provided by the Ministry of Social Affairs, and this is a continuation of the assistance that they previously provided," he said.

Of the 500 food packages plus bath soaps, it will be distributed to those who support the operations of the Covid-19 Hospital.
