Two Ministries Deliver Natural Disaster Assistance to East Nusa Tenggara

Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini accompanied the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy to deliver the various aid packages to those affected by the disaster (kemsos)

KUPANG, NETRALNEWS.COM - The Indonesian government, through the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture and the Ministry of Social Affairs, coordinates and monitors Seroja Cyclone disaster emergency management in the Province of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

On Tuesday (05/04/2021) afternoon local time, Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini accompanied the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy to deliver the various aid packages to those affected by the disaster.

In Kupang District: Compensation for 12 families; 200 packages of basic food packages; 76,280.40 kg of Government Rice Reserve (CBP) worth IDR 763,795,645.20.

In Sabu Raijua District: Compensation for three families worth IDR45 million; 200 packages of groceries worth IDR34 million; and 99,960 kg CBP worth IDR1,000,899,480.

In Rote Ndao Regency: Compensation for one family worth IDR15 million; 200 packages of basic necessities; and 58,025 kg CBP worth IDR580,994,312.

On Pantar Island in Alor District: Compensation for one family of IDR15 million; Compensation for 21 seriously injured victims x IDR 5 million worth IDR105 million; 200 packages of basic necessities; and 58,025 kg CBP worth IDR580,994,312.

The handling of victims of flash floods and landslides in Alor Regency has distributed logistics and assistance to 41 families x IDR15 million, a total of IDR615 million. For serious injuries, 25 people x IDR5 million, a total of IDR125 million.

Phase 1 logistics assistance reaches IDR5,000,000; Phase 2 reaches IDR192,125,000; Phase 3 reaches IDR 73,500,000; Phase 4 reaches IDR46,000,000; Phase 5 reaches IDR16,083,480. Thus, the total value touches IDR1,072,708,480.

Various logistical assistance, compensation for surviving families and victims of serious injuries provided to disaster victims are a form of the state being present in the midst of people who are suffering from disaster.
