JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Dr. Farida Briani Sobri SpB (K) Onk says breast cancer that occurs at a young age has turned out to be more aggressive than breast cancers at the age of 30 years and over.
Therefore, Dr. Farida advises the younger generation to recognize the normal state of their own breasts, and do self-examination to find any irregular lumps for early cancer detection.
"Because breast cancer is the concept, the earlier the stage the better the chance of life expectancy, will be greater, but the higher the stadium, the life expectancy will be smaller, so it is very important for early detection since at young," Dr Farida said to Netralnews.
Dr. Farida said, early detection of breast cancer will be very useful when entering the age of breast cancer risk. The age of breast cancer risk is in the range 30 to over 40 years. So when entering the age of risk, women are expected to already know what to do when experiencing breast cancer.
"For younger women, under 40 years or 30 years in fact the number is less breast cancer occurs but more commonly obtained benign tumors. But although small, if you get breast cancer is usually justu more aggressive," said the doctor who just launched the book Smart Facing this Breast Cancer.
Therefore, Dr. Farida urged teenagers to be more careful and more vigilant. In addition, there is no need to worry excessively, but know what to do for early detection. One effort that can be done is by checking one's own breasts.
"Since childhood has been taught for every month do realize on the 7th day to the 10th menstruation, but must know the normal (form of breasts themselves) like what, so that if there are abnormalities can immediately check to the doctor," Dr. Farida added.
