JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Dr. Hengkie F. Lasanudin SpJP (K) FIHA, cardiologist at Pertamina Central Hospital, has described the types of chest pain that is included in the category of heart attack.

He said, the most specific symptom or characteristic is the emergence of chest pain in the left or middle part of the chest.

He continued that a heart attack can also be indicated by heartburn or back pain. In addition, chest pain is felt in the form of being pressed or squeezed by heavy objects.

"The symptoms of a heart attack are chest pain include being pressed or squeezed by heavy objects. There are patients who say it feels like lying down and being crushed on the chest, so it is heavy, there is something pressing," said Dr. Hengkie.

Furthermore Dr. Hengkie explained that the symptoms of a heart attack can be spread to the left arm, back, shoulders, namely the upper part of the body. "Sometimes accompanied by shortness of breath, chest palpitations, cold sweat, nausea or vomiting," said Dr. Hengkie.

He continued that according to data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2012, there were as many as 17.5 million people died in the world per year. Nearly 50 thousand die per day due to cardiovascular disease, this number is the same as one person dies every two seconds and 3/4 of these cases occur in developing countries, including Indonesia.

"That's according to the WHO 2012, if now the numbers must have increased. In Indonesia alone, according to 2018 data, out of 1000 people there are 15 people including those who have heart disease, so time and early detection are important," he explained.
