JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Jack Ma, one of the richest people in China, has again conducted out humanitarian actions by contributing to fight the spreading of the covid-19 coronavirus.
Ma, the founder of Alibaba Group, has just donated medical equipment to four countries in Southeast Asia which are battling to overcome this deadly virus epidemic. The four countries are Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand.
The donations were given through the Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Foundation.
"We join hands with our neighboring countries in Asia to jointly face COVID-19," Jack Ma said.
Jack Ma's donation comprises of two million masks, 150,000 test kits, 20,000 protective clothing, and 20,000 face covers to Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand. He also plans to donate to other Asian countries.
He had eariler donated one million masks and 500,000 test kits to the United States (US) to fight the COVID-19 disease.
These donations will be sent through Jack Ma's non-profit Alibaba Foundation, and will be flown from Shanghai. In addition, institution also channels donations to other countries affected by the coronavirus, including Japan, Italy, Iran and Spain.
