SOLO, NETRALNEWS.COM - After having breakfast together at the Soto Triwindu restaurant, on Sunday, June 9, 2019, Indonesia President Joko Widodo and his family visited Pasar Gede in Solo. The largest wholesale market in Solo is located at Jalan Jenderal Urip Sumoharjo, Surodiprajan, Solo.

The President and his family arrived at Pasar Gede on 09:57 Indonesian western time. The President came with First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo, his two sons Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Kaesang Pangarep, daughter-in-law Selvi Ananda, and his first grandson Jan Ethes Srinarendra.

The arrival of the Head of State added to the tumultuous market conditions that were crowded by visitors. Many buyers and sellers approached the President to shake hands and take pictures.

The President then walked and went to the market block that sells herbal medicine, vegetables and traditional food. Mrs. Iriana stopped at a kiosk that sells kitchen utensils to buy some traditional utensils, such as ulekan and centong.

 At the fruit kiosk, the President buys salak as much as four kilograms, oranges as much as two kilograms, cantaloupe, and persimmon, while the President's two sons bought bananas.

The president and family then visit a kiosk that sells ice dawet. The seller immediately gave a bowl of ice dawet to be tried by the President's family. Iriana's mother who tasted it, immediately decided to buy some dawet ice bags.

The president and family then visit a kiosk that sells traditional food. At this kiosk the President buys some snacks, such as chili and rambak.

After about 30 minutes walking around the market and shopping, the President and family walked out of the market. On the way home, the President returned to serving residents' requests to shake hands and take pictures.
