JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Kim Kardashian has cried after she was tested positive for autoimmune lupus and rheumatoid arthritis.
The reality show star complained of pain in the joints, swelling and fatigue. She had also began to experience anxiety related to the future of her career and legal studies. Moreover, Kim is also expecting her fourth child.
"Lately my wrist has begun to hurt again, but it feels different from before. I feel this, like, in my bones," she said.
"I'm just, like, freaking out. I have a baby on the way, I have law school. This can really scare you when you start to really think about how much this will really change my life," Kim continued, as quoted from Metro.UK
The news was confirmed after she tested positive for autoimmune lupus and rheumatoid arthritis, which affects the joints. This disease causes pain, throbbing, swelling and stiffness, making the former Paris Hilton assistant unable to hold back tears while being supported by her sister.
The scene was the premiere of Keeping Up With The Kardashians last season which was played back on Monday (9/10/2019) night.
In the show, Kim got a call from Dr. Daniel Wallace with the results, after she was seen doing an ultrasound on her wrist.
"Your antibodies tested positive for lupus and rheumatoid arthritis," Wallace explained when Kim sat in her wardrobe.
However, the doctor stressed that did not mean she was convincingly suffering from the disease, when he added, "Sometimes you can get false positives."
At that time Kim was surrounded by her mother Kris Jenner, and her sisters Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner.
Kylie claimed to be ready to support her sister, when she said, "You don't know. The scariest part, is you don't know."
Lupus is a long-term autoimmune condition that causes inflammation of the joints, skin and other organs. According to the United States Institute of Health, the disease has no cure, but symptoms can subside if treatment is started early.
Lupus symptoms, such as joint pain and stiffness and extreme fatigue, will not go away even if you rest.
"You know, you really make sense and think about the worst things that might happen," Kim admitted.
"So, for the next few days, this will be very living hell...wondering what I have, what happened and how to recover from it."
However, the episode did not reveal the results of further tests. Kim continued to tweet live during the episode last night, interacting with her fans as she provided highlights in more detail.
