MONTREAL, NETRALNEWS.COM – A study has revealed that watching a porn movie gives men unrealistic expectations that women are easy to achieve orgasms.

Researchers analyzed the 50 most viewed videos of all time to determine the frequency of male and female orgasms. They analyzed sex scenes that stimulates orgasm, and whether clitoral stimulation is involved, as shown by men and women as they reach climax and what their bodies do when they reach their sexual peaks.

The research found that only 18 percent of women actually had an orgasm and the rest were faked, compared with 78 percent of men.

"As a result, the representation of male and female orgasms in pornography can lead to perpetuating unrealistic beliefs and expectations in relation to female orgasm and male sexual performance," the study concluded in the research from the University of Quebec in Montreal, as quoted by Daily Mail.

Sex experts tell Mail Online that pornography makes men forget the importance of foreplay or warm-up before sex.

"Female orgasm through stimulation and clitoral insertion is an ineffective way to do this. What's even more frustrating is that we have known this for at least 2,000 years. Kama Sutra talks about it, "explains the research.

A team from Los Angeles, California, studied 335 men in relationships, and found that 22 percent reported that they would rather watch porn than have sex with their partner. They also found that 28 percent of respondents said they chose masturbation during sexual intercourse, and these men chose to do so due to challenges in maintaining an erection.
