DR. Dr. Saptawati Bardosono, MSc., a medical nutritionist from the Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Indonesia, said there are four pillars of health to ensure children grow and develop as a happy person. The four health pillars consist of:
1. Complete nutrition from daily food and drink intake.
2. Maintain health and fitness by doing physical activity on a regular basis. Various studies have shown that muscle activity can stimulate children's emotional and cognitive aspects, as well as stimulate appetite.
3. Quality of sleep according to age. Children need more sleep compare to adults, about 10-12 hours.
4. Overcoming stress, both inside and outside the home. Feelings of stress can cause digestive disorders, this is because there is a two-way communication between the brain and the stomach.
