Here is How Rins Can Compete against Marc Marquez

Ecstar Suzuki rider Alex Rins (lazone)

JEREZ, NETRALNEWS.COMEcstar Suzuki rider Alex Rins has a weakness in the qualifying round. This made him fail to start in the forefront and not infrequently he had to start the race from the third row. If he can fix this weakness, then Rins has the potential to challenge Marc Marquez in this season's MotoGP race.

The results of the Rins qualification as far as four series this year are P10, P16, P7 and P9. While the start results from the front row in the premier class he won last year in the final series in Valencia.

In the Spanish GP race on Sunday (5/5/2019) Rins only started from position 9. However, his persistence to overtake one by one rider in front, making him managed to grab the second podium behind Marc Marquez.

"Incredible. The first finish two weeks ago (in Austin) and now the second position is very good, we only need to improve ourselves when qualifying. Start from the third row is very difficult to overtake the riders," Rins was quoted as saying by the official MotoGP page.

Previously, in the pre-season test session, Rins had said if Suzuki had a competitive motorbike package, it was fast round the corner even though it still lost in top speed.

But he believes he can be the main challenger to this year's MotoGP world title. "I'll try for sure," said Rins, who is now 1 point adrift of Marquez who is at the top of the temporary rider standings.

"We have good races, we will try from races to other races, continue the same path and as you say, both in this World Championship means we are working well."

By reaching the second podium at Jerez, that means the Spaniard was able to achieve positive results in two consecutive races after winning the title in the previous series, the United States GP.

After Jerez, the MotoGP march will continue to the Le Mans Circuit, where the character of the circuit in France matches the GSX-RR Suzuki motorbike package.

"Surely Le Mans will be a good track for us. He is a circuit that has a long bend so I will try to start as well as possible," concluded Rins.
