Honda Shows Off New Carbon-Chassis Motorbike with New Looks (motorplus)

JEREZ, NETRALNEWS.COMThe Repsol Honda team has used the opportunity to test their new motorbike in the Jerez MotoGP test. Honda launched a new base RC213V with carbon layers and did not miss out on appearing with a new look.

The new Honda motorcycle was tested for the first time by Marc Marquez on an official test session on Monday (05/06/2019) yesterday. Previously Honda test rider, Stefan Bradl had already tested the motorbike last weekend.

One of the biggest changes in the motorbike is a carbon-coated chassis aimed at making the motor more rigid or rigid on the track.

This carbon material is still new because before, the Honda motorbike chassis, and the majority of other manufacturers in the MotoGP class in general, are currently made of aluminum.

In addition to the chassis, Honda also showed off a new face with a motorcycle livery. They use a new color combination of red-white-blue color which is the typical color of HRC (Honda Racing Corporation) to refresh the look. Previously Repsol Honda was identical to the red and white orange color they had been wearing for a long time.

"We tried a lot of things today and that was a very positive test because we could focus on (motor) concepts in several ways, not to the details," said Marquez.

"I tried to drive a Brdl motorbike to understand the concept, it was positive and we are ready for the next series," continued the peak of the MotoGP standings quoted from the official website of HRC.

Marquez finished the test session in seventh position. He was 0.881 seconds adrift of Fabio Quartararo who was in the front position.
