MADRID, NETRALNEWS.COM - Real Madrid attacking midfielder Eden Hazard said he had repeatedly refused PSG's offer, as he did not want to play for another French club other than Lille.
"PSG often tried to recruit me," Hazard said, as quoted by L'Equipe.
"In my mind it is clear. They are the club that will help me win the Champions League. But that is not my plan. If I return to the French League, it is going to be Lille," he added.
Hazard joined Lille as a teenager, and nearly recorded 200 appearances for the club. Together with Lille, he won the the French League and the French Cup double in the 2010/2011 season, before moving to Chelsea a year later.
Hazard cemented his position as one of the important players at the Blues, before leaving for Real Madrid last summer.
He was plagued by a hamstring injury in his first months at Real, but in the last few games Hazard has shown signs of his best performance.
