Defeating Jakarta Pertamina, Jakarta Elektrik Wins 2017 Proliga

YOGYAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Jakarta Elektrik PLN women's team retains the title of Proliga Volleyball Competition for the third time in a row after defeating Jakarta Pertamina Energi 3-2 (25-20, 24-26, 25-22, 18-25 and 15-11) at the grand final in Among Rogo Sports Stadium Yogyakarta, Sunday (4/23/2017).

"To win the last game is very difficult, especially since we want to defend the title for the third time in a row," said Jakarta Elektrik PLN Coach Tien Mei after the grand final match, as quoted from Antara.

Tien Mei said to achieve victory in the fifth set is not only determined by the player's technical ability factor but is strongly influenced by mental factors.

"The team having good mentality will emerge as the winner," Tien said. "We see that Jakarta Pertamina Energi team has lost their mentality when they make many mistakes," Tien said.

At the start of the fifth set, the two teams shared the numbers up to 4-4, but the Jakarta Pertamina Energi team made many mistakes by their own making it at least eight consecutive numbers to Jakarta Elektrik PLN.
