JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Last Tuesday (10/31/2017) night, Halloween Party a la Grand Mercure Jakarta Kemayoran Hotel which was held at Plumeria Lounge went lively. The event was enlivened with Female DJ performance, magic show, and distribution of gifts.
Unlike the previous year, Halloween Party in the Grand Mercure Jakarta Kemayoran Hotel this year brought the concept of Halloween Costume Party. Guests with best costume and best makeup will be entitled to a gift of hotel and FnB brunch vouchers, of which one voucher will be valid for two people.
The party was so frightening in that it was not merely Western style, the celebration of Halloween Party in the Grand Mercure Jakarta Kemayoran Hotel this time was also modified with Indonesian existing culture-style ornaments, ranging from a typical Indonesian grave, jailangkung (puppet ghost), to pocong (wrapped ghost); hence very spooky!
"Although Halloween is a celebration of European countries, we want to modify it with the existing culture in Indonesia. As seen, we have given a variety of Halloween-style decoration, but we do not leave some gimmicks a la Indonesia," said Marketing Communications Manager of Grand Mercure Jakarta Kemayoran Hotel, Aloysia Sekar, on the sidelines of the event.
"Not only Scream Halloween sculptures which become the icon, pumpkins and bats, but we also display Indonesian unique grave, jailangkung, and there is pocong too," Sekar added.
