Social Affairs Ministry Discloses Clarification on Viral Video of Rescue Car Crash

JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - On social media, a video that shows a blue rescue car that was involved in a collision with a motorcycle driver is going viral.
The @tribuntimur account uploaded the video by stating that the incident took place on Nusantara Street, Makassar City, South Sulawesi, on Friday (07/30/2021).
The @tribuntimur account also mentioned the tweet to the official twitter account of the Ministry of Social Affairs @KemensosRI.
Based on this information, it can be clarified that the car is a State Property (BMN) of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs which was loaned to the Takalar Regency Government in 2017. The car has the license plate of B 9551 PSD.

Regarding the viral video of the car, Takalar Regent Syamsari said on his Instagram account that he had received information and read from social media that the Rescue car belonging to the PMD Takalar Social Services Office had hit a cyclist in Makassar.
"Therefore, as a person on behalf of the Takalar regency government, I apologize for this incident. We have assigned the Head of Social Affairs and PMD Takalar to take care of and solve this," he said on Friday.
To note, in the minutes of the car handover signed by both parties, it was stated that the Rescue Tactical Unit (RTU) car was handed over by the Ministry of Social Affairs to the Takalar Regency Government to support disaster management.
In Article 2 of the Handover Report, it is stated that the car is the responsibility of the Head of the Social Service (Takalar Regency Government).
Article 3 states that maintenance and everything that arises during the implementation of the loan and use is the responsibility of the borrower (Second Party/Takalar Regency Government).
