Social Affairs Ministry Distributes Masks and Vitamins in Banten

JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - The Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs, together with Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, have distributed social assistance in the form of masks and vitamins in the Banten area. This was conducted after the launching of the distribution of masks and vitamins by Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini, also known as Risma, at theMinistry of Social Affairs office on Friday (08/27/2021).
As stated by Tri Rismaharini, the Ministry of Social Affairs wants to mobilize social elements in helping the public, especially the less fortunate and poor, through social pillars, one of which is Karang Taruna or Youth Organization.
"Now is the time for Karang Taruna to move to help their brothers and sisters in their respective areas for the poor," said Risma during the launching of the masks and vitamins.
Without a long delay, the distribution of masks and vitamins was symbolically handed over in the Banten area. Secretary General of the Ministry of Social Affairs Hartono Laras, accompanied by acting Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Empowerment Salahuddin, delivered aid packages through members of Commission VIII to the Banten Province Youth Organization at Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin State Islamic University Banten.
The Ministry of Social Affairs has prepared 1,270 aid packages for each district/city throughout Indonesia. Furthermore, the aid will be directly distributed to vulnerable people. For the Banten area, the aid packages were delivered to the public through youth organizations, especially in the Pandeglang Regency and Lebak Regency, Banten Province.
In this case, the Ministry of Social Affairs also cooperated with Commission VIII . In the delivery of the aid packages, which took place at UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin, the aid delivery was represented by the Head of the Banten Province Visiting Team, Yandri Susanto.
In addition to handing over social assistance, members of Commission VIII also held meetings to listen to aspirations and real information on the ground which will be used to increase contributions optimally in the implementation of education and social welfare of the community.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Social Affairs provided five laptops from the social empowerment program for underprivileged students of UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin.
Present at the event were the Chancellor of UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin, the Director General of Islamic Education of the Ministry of Religion, the Director of BNPB Early Warning, and the Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of Banten Province.
