JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - The Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs pays serious attention to information related to the actions of an irresponsible individual with the initials M who claimed to be the Personal Secretary (Sespri) of the Regional Secretary in a government agency.
Through the Whatsapp (WA) application, M offered a job within the Ministry of Social Affairs, and claimed that he could connect the potential victim (R) with the Head of the General Bureau of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Wiwiek Widiyanti.
M's action was allegedly motivated by wanting to sell a project within the Ministry of Social Affairs. Regarding this information, the Ministry of Social Affairs is taking serious steps.
Today, accompanied by acting Head of the Legal Bureau, Evy Flamboyan, the Head of the General Bureau of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Wiwiek Widiyanti, submitted a report to the Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT) of Metro Jaya Police.

In this case, the Head of the General Bureau of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Wiwiek Widiyanti, is the reporter, and M is the reported person. To the media, Evy Flamboyan said the Ministry of Social Affairs hopes that law enforcement can investigate this case further.
If an element of law violation is found, of course, action can be taken according to the applicable provisions. In addition, with this report, the Ministry of Social Affairs also wishes to convey to the public that the procurement of goods and services at the Ministry of Social Affairs fully complies with applicable regulations.
People who are interested in participating in the process of procuring goods and services at the Ministry of Social Affairs can go through the Electronic Procurement Service (LPSE).
"The Ministry of Social Affairs has never done this through the intermediary of individuals, authorized to third parties, or seconded to third parties, and so on," Evy said on Wednesday (10/27/2021).
Evy appealed to all parties not to be tempted by the actions of someone like M who claimed to have received a mandate from the Head of the General Bureau to get a project for the procurement of goods and services. As far as the information received, Evy said that only M acted as an intermediary for the project.
In this case, the reported party claimed to be the reporter's envoy, who then offered witness (R) the opportunity to participate in a project at the Ministry of Social Affairs around September 2021.
"In return, M asked R to give money of a certain value. However, R, who did know the reporter, then confirmed. And the reporter made sure he didn't know the reported person," said Evy.
Indeed, until the report was made, there had been no other party besides R who had reported almost experiencing fraud. In this case, material losses have not yet arisen. However, learning from this incident, the report to the police was also based on the concern that the confession was not only carried out by M.
"It is possible that there are many cases like this. There are other actors. So we made a report to avoid confusion. This report is also our effort to prevent public distrust of the Ministry of Social Affairs," he said.
Evy stated that M's actions harmed and injured the good name of the Ministry of Social Affairs as well as individual officials whose names were used by the person concerned.
M's actions also contradict the general policy of the Ministry of Social Affairs under the leadership of the Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini, who is currently strengthening good governance, where one of the important principles in it is compliance with laws and regulations.
M is suspected of having carried out defamation through electronic media as regulated in Article 27 paragraph (3) JO Article 45 paragraph (3) of Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions (ITE) and/or Article 310 and/or 311 KUHP.
M can also be charged with Article 378 of the Criminal Code (KUHP), where the perpetrator is alleged to have used a false name or false dignity, by deceit, or a series of lies.
