JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Steven Stenly is known as a handsome content creator from Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi. He is active on various social media, such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

Apparently, Steven is a young entrepreneur who introduced Kendari's leading commodities to the international arena.

Best Farmer Indonesia

Steven is an exporter of various leading commodities from his native Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi. The products he exports are coconut and its derivatives, cashew nuts, and various other commodities under the 'flag' of Best Farmer Indonesia.

He got this opportunity after completing his education at one of the universities in China. When he was a student, he saw that there were many Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) from China that exported products to Indonesia.

"I thought, how as an Indonesian student, have you studied or studied in China, can you also market your products to China? If other people import, I want to export goods to China," Steven said on Thursday (11/18/2021).

This statement was made by Steven at the MSME Webinar organized by Netralnews, with the theme of "Want Your MSME Products to Globalize?" that was held online. The event was supported by Bank Syariah Indonesia, BRI, Briefer, CoHive, Indoproduct, Superkiosk, and Alfamart.

Also present as speakers at the event were the Director of Cooperation for Export Development at the Ministry of Trade, Marolop Nainggolan, and MSME player and owner of Wita Hara Kirana, Patricia Nataly.

In the future, Steven claims that he will continue to develop the export business of coconuts and its derivatives to other countries. He will also plan to export briquettes under his own brand. Steven knows there is a big market abroad, especially in China regarding briquette products.

In addition to exporting coconut and its derivatives, Steven also has his own clothing brand with the trademark M.E.N_ID. Although it is a local product, the clothing seems to be getting a lot of attention from consumers abroad.

Steven admits that the clothes at M.E.N_ID are simple in style and suitable for various events. Although simple, the products offer a variety of styles, colors, sizes, and premium quality.

"The funny thing is that there are only a few of my products locally, but when it comes to overseas shipments, there are a lot of them. I often upload on social media, Instagram, FB Ads, and several e-commerce platforms and it's more directed to foreign (consumers)," said 27-year-old Steven.

Social Spirit

Not only successful in business, Steven also has a high social spirit. He did not hesitate to share the profits of his business with others on the streets.

Steven said that he had experienced such a life. He once walked around the streets to sell, so when he got profits, he also wanted to share it with others.

"I want to share with them. Why video? Some say showing off, even though my goal is simple, I want to be useful for many people," said Steven.

Steven is grateful, because his actions are liked and supported by many people. Therefore, he did not stop sharing with others, and sharing on his personal social media.

Steven recalls that he once received a bomber jacket from President Joko Widodo while attending the MSME mass vaccination in the Court of the North Sulawesi Governor's Office. He auctioned off the jacket from the number one person in Indonesia and the proceeds were donated to an orphanage in Kendari City.
